This Woman Has Only 10 Days Left Until Giving Birth. So Where Is Her Baby Bump?

Un-be-lievable.
A Plus is a media company dedicated to publishing stories that promote positive change in people's lives and in the world.

Welcoming a newborn into this world is a huge and exciting step in every parent's life. Picking a name, shopping for baby stuff...

... filling their room with adorable toys. And that's exactly what this mama-to-be did. But there was still something out of the ordinary about her pregnancy.

Yup, that's the physique of a woman who is 39 weeks pregnant.

Sarah Stage, a professional Elite model, became a viral sensation last month when the Internet discovered her svelte Instagrams.

Her toned abs and incredibly small baby bump got the entire online community wondering how it was possible (and if it was healthy).

This is Stage at 9 months and 37 weeks.

After facing criticism for her allegedly "too fit" body, Stage confirmed she and the baby are healthy.

Stage says she gained about 20 pounds, and, according to specialists, that's "exactly where she needs to be at this stage in her pregnancy."

"The fact that she looks skinny on Instagram does not mean her baby growth is restricted or too small. It has nothing to do [with] if you can see her muscles if her uterus is the perfect size and she has gained an amount of weight, that is acceptable," Dr. Jennifer Ashton told ABC News.

According to midwife sonographer Chrissie Hammonds, "there are plenty of reasons that a healthy baby may appear small."

"It could be that there isn't much fluid around your baby. This may make your bump appear smaller, even if your baby is the right size. The position your baby's lying in, and your own height, shape and tummy muscles can all affect the measurement too," Hammonds writes in her Babycentre Q&A column

Basically, a pregnant woman's body is between her and her doctor. No one else.

As for us, we just hope to see baby James and the happy mama working out together soon.
